English is one of the most spoken second languages in the world. This means that there are a lot of people who are learning to speak English that maybe wasn’t the first language taught to them.

Did you ever think about how so much entertainment is in English? Some of the most famous books, movies, and music are written in English. If you knew English then you wouldn’t have to rely on subtitles or translations anymore. You would be able to enjoy reading and listening on your own without the help of others. You also have access to the internet and everything that entails. Majority of the internet is in English, so knowing English would just give you direct access to so many different things. Knowing English is kind of like freedom in a sense; you are free from translators or the fear of not knowing what someone is saying.

Learning a new language can help improve yourself. You are improving your knowledge of the world and growing personally. Whether you’re thinking about learning English or really any language for that matter, push yourself. Push yourself because you want to grow. Mental growth is so important and is so hard, but the rewards that come as a result are worth it. So be hungry to learn; learn and grow, because that is what is so amazing about life.
