The Education Policy of India

In a plan, that is, to be executed by 2040, the National Education Policy 2020, or the NEP 2020, is a new, modern approach to education in India. The goal is to make students well-rounded and help the economy and industrial revolution due to critical thinking.

According to Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, after consulting many school districts in India, NEP covers many issues, such as education spanning from young children in the school system to higher education, such as college and university. Intensive research universities will be changing to make research activities easier and more accessible for all university students in the country, with colleges competing in healthy competition and doing their best to make their research more relevant to the general public so that everyone can prosper.

Learning has been an emphasis for years in India, according to Kumar, and now that higher universities are putting even more emphasis on multidisciplinary learning and science, technology, engineering, and math being interwoven with arts, humanities, and literature, students are being encouraged to use creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking. With such a large group of young talent, the new National Research Foundation, also called the NRF, wants to take advantage of the opportunity they have to help these talented young students to prosper and achieve the careers of their dreams while helping India grow as a country.

Using technology and digital infrastructure to help build the school system in India has also been emphasized so that more people have access to education, as only 37 million students have access to higher education, according to Kumar. Getting education to all people in India and the rest of the world is a crucial aspect of progressing the world that we are living in. It would build relations between countries, build economies, and help people globally create friendships and find acquaintances, which is needed in a time like the present with a pandemic still plaguing the world.
